What's the difference between a private yoga session and a yoga therapy session? A private yoga session is more likely to focus on the physical poses. A yoga therapy session will be led by a Certified Yoga Therapist, and may cover more subtle body work including chakras and ongoing conditions.

Yoga, yoga therapy, and meditation lessons are not a substitute for physical therapy or other medical care.

Nicole holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition, is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, in Maryland), a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and has completed more than 500 hours of yoga teacher training.

Dr. Ariele Foster (PT, DPT, E-RYT 500) is a doctor of physical therapy, interdisciplinary yoga teacher, anatomy teacher and founder of YogaAnatomyAcademy.com.

She is the founder of Happy & Well, Physical Therapy and Yoga Therapy clinic, runs an online yoga anatomy mentorship for yoga teachers and dedicated students and is the creator of two online courses with Yoga Journal, and numerous other courses with Yoga Anatomy Academy.

Ariele’s physical therapy practice is founded upon treating the whole person. She uses hands-on manual therapy techniques along with precise, targeted strength training, myofascial release and neuromuscular re-integration to achieve optimal recovery for patients.
